Standard Vacuum System with Common Material Line
A simple, cost-effective system to feed one or more process machines from a single material source.

NOVATEC's economical common line system is ideal for processors running multiple machines using the same material.  Our patent pending LineClearTM lateral provides straight-through material flow and positive directing of the material to the appropriate receiver station as well as purge capability.

A common line equates to substantial cost savings due to less piping and less maintenances.  Several common lines can be run, each from a different source, depending on the number of different types of materials being processed.

Standard Vacuum System with Dedicated Material Lines
The system designed for processors running with several different materials on multiple machines.

This method is commonly used when each process machine has a dedicated material source such as a drying hopper or beside-the-press gaylord.  This system allows line purge capabilities for fast material change and for preventing moisture regain when conveying dried materials.

Central Drying/Conveying System (with optional Dry Air/Purge Conveying)
The system for processors who wish to centrally dry their thermoplastic resins.

The transfer air from the vacuum power unit is recirculated to provide a closed loop of conveying air which is isolated from ambient moisture.  The air can be further conditioned by desiccant dryers.  This is a commonly used method to convey moisture sensitive materials from drying hoppers to prevent moisture regain.  The material line is purged after each convey cycle to clear the line and keep the minimal amount of resin at the processing machine.  Central drying offers many advantages and allows quick material change as it eliminates the need to drain out individual hoppers and wait for the new material to dry.

Systems with Multiple Material Sources and Fantail Manifold
A system providing optimum flexibility that conveys material from multiple sources to any process machine.

This NOVATEC system is designed for optimum line purge capability.  The fantail manifold carries the resin through a system of multiple connectors at the material source to direct the resin to the process machine.  Conveying the resin in this way ensures purging by preventing a "fly-by" condition, where stray pellets can stay in the line.

Bulk Handling/Resin Storage Systems
These systems provide complete bulk handling, unloading and storage capabilities for facilities that store and process large amounts of materials.

NOVATEC offers several options for bulk handling of resin, including railcar and truck unloading systems, bulk bag unloading, surge bins and silos.  Railcar unloading systems are specially designed to unload railcars of material at rates exceeding 20,000 lb/hr (9,070 kg/hr).  A NOVATEC vacuum power unit located near the railcar pulls material from the railcar into a cyclone, and then pressure conveys the material into the silo.

Regrind Recovery System
This system is for automatically unloading regrind from granulators.

The system can be designed for evacuating several granulators to one or more surge bins, where the material can then be directed to a blender for reprocessing.

This NOVATEC system employs a PLC control system with automatic timers or level controls to detect how often the grinders need unloading.  The quantity of regrind being generated can be tracked via computer interface.
