advantage and
novatec Equipment that Together Meet 70% of Plastics
Processor’s Total Auxiliary Equipment Needs
BALTIMORE, MD, June 6, 2007: A lavishly
illustrated 24-page brochure presents many
alternatives for equipping a plastics
processing plant with an integrated system
of equipment for drying, conveying,
blending, temperature control, and process
cooling, it was announced today by the
Auxiliary Systems Group (ASG).
The ASG is an
alliance between NOVATEC, Inc. and ADVANTAGE
Engineering, Inc., whose combined product
ranges account for about 70% of the total
auxiliary equipment investment for most
processing operations. The new brochure
describes the range of equipment
configurations and control options available
from the founding companies through the ASG,
which provides complete project management
from system design through installation.
Topics
covered in the brochure include:
●
Unique role of ASG as system supplier.
Information in the brochure shows that the
alliance differs from auxiliary-equipment
“department stores” by enabling processors
to obtain the advantages of single-sourcing
while benefiting from the depth of

product selection available only from specialized
suppliers such as ADVANTAGE and NOVATEC. Also cited
are the experience of project managers, ASG’s
network of sales agents, the integrated controls
program created by the founding companies, and the
single interface for customer contact with ASG.
● NOVATEC resin-handling systems. The
brochure outlines the industry’s broadest selection
of resin drying technologies and a full range of
conveying and blending equipment. Detailed
schematics show six different types of resin
handling system and two configurations of system
controls. Also illustrated is the company’s Drying
Technology Center, the only laboratory for
scientifically comparing the performance of
different resin drying systems.
● ADVANTAGE heat-transfer and
temperature-control systems. Illustrated
are system components including chillers, cooling
towers, temperature controllers, condensers, pump
tanks, filters, and cooling system controls.
Detailed schematics show six different cooling
systems.

An Alliance is Formed...

NOVATEC, Inc. and
ADVANTAGE Engineering, Inc.
have signed an agreement
to form the Auxiliary Systems
Group (ASG),
an
alliance for the engineering and
development of complete
integrated plastics auxiliary
equipment systems.
Processors will benefit because
the Auxiliary Systems Group
combines the advantages of
“single-sourcing” with the depth
of technology and breadth of
product selection available only
from specialized suppliers such
as NOVATEC and ADVANTAGE.
“Customers of the Auxiliary
Systems Group will enjoy the
economic and logistical
advantages of having all of
their engineering,
controls-customization, and
installation needs managed by a
single project team representing
a true working alliance,”
said Conrad M. Bessemer,
president and CEO of NOVATEC.
“We’ve designed the ASG to be a
seamless interface with
customers, providing
them with comprehensive and
coordinated service from initial
quote to equipment startup to
technical support after the
sale. No longer must processors
compromise in single-sourcing
their new in-plant systems by
relying on suppliers that cannot
possibly be experts in
everything they distribute.”
|
|
|
|
“ADVANTAGE and NOVATEC provide more than sufficient
critical mass to make the Auxiliary Systems Group
a leader as a full-service,
single source for systems integration,”
said Harry Short, President & CEO of ADVANTAGE
Engineering, Inc. “Every year, both companies
consistently sell more of the products in which they
specialize than auxiliary equipment ‘department
stores’ like Conair and AEC, while at the same time
offering, by far, the
broadest selection of alternatives within each of
their product specialties.”
